A fine Victorian inlaid mahogany and satinwood Carlton House desk
Circa 1880
the superstructure with a pierced brass gallery above six drawers and three cupboard doors flanked by twin shaped cupboards and swept lidded stationary compartments above a writing slide, above one long and four short drawers, raised on square tapering legs terminating in brass castors, decorated overall with satinwood banding and scrolling arabesques, locks all by Hobbs & Co, London, 136cm wide, 67cm deep, 99cm high (53.5" wide, 26" deep, 38.5" high).
