the hood with caddy top surmounted by three brown burning finials, over a square glazed door with ebonised columns above a long door with lenticle above a box and stepped plinth base, the front profusely decorated with arabesque marquetry with two pairs of small birds, the sides with well figured walnut panels, the 14 inch dial with silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date operation, with a month duration with anchor escapement and counterpased minute hand, 56cm wide, 31cm deep, 276cm high
