surmounted by winged herald on a caddy over tapering sides with long glazed panels on scroll feet, the door centred by two figures embrassing, overall inlaid with engraved foliate marquetry, the 10 inch cast dial with applied cartouche numerals with blue Roman hours, with a single fusee movement with anchor escapement and square four plate united by four tapered pillars, with sun-burst face pendulum, signed to the backplate Payne & Co, 163 New Bond Street, London and numbered 5396, some losses to brass, 48cm wide, 25cm deep, 101cm high
