A Chinese peach hue 'dragon' theatre robe
19th century
The front and back finely embroidered with ten, four-clawed dragons spun from gold-thread, positioned in accordance with the Imperial insignia, the dragons float amongst scroll fire and Imperial pearls, interspersed with phoenixes, Buddhist emblems, and bats, the lower section depicting the Isles of Blessed with remnants of a deep six tone border.
