A Sino-Tibetan silver bowl with hinged cover
17th - 18th century
The bowl with everted mouth rim, the cover with a hinged lock decorated with a raised central medallion of a dragon with gilded face, four encircling smaller medallions, the body decorated with Buddhist emblems and four slightly raised medallions of dragon motifs, each with gilded face, raised on a tall foot rim encircled by a band of lappets in low relief, all against a carved ground of scrolling branches.
