A Chinese lacquer ink-stone box with mother-of-pearl, jade, and hardstone inlay
Mid to late Qing dynasty
Of square shape with rounded corners, supported on four raised feet, the lid decorated with mother of pearl and hardstone with three roosters in a garden landscape, all against a dark ground speckled with mother of pearl, the underside of black lacquer.
