Rare Blue Tiger's Eye Quartz Intarsia Box
All varieties of tiger's eye are now extremely difficult to obtain due to export limitations placed on the material by South Africa. "Hawk's Eye Quartz", as this blue variety is known, is much in demand by collectors. Expertly crafted by an Italian artisan this box has perfectly matched seams, the chatoyant bands matching up exactly at the sides. The hinged lid has a brass fitting and the box is lined with black onyx. Measures 7 1/4 x 4 1/4 x 1 1/2 in
