• According to the biographical preface in his collection of poetry Xiaopenghai shiji， Weng Luo was a native of Jiangsu province. His father, Weng Guangping, was also a poet and author. Weng Luo's high position in the artistic circles of his day is demonstrated by the extant of collaborative works with such artists as Qian Du.

  據《小蓬海詩集》所載，翁雒原籍江蘇，其父翁廣平（1760-1842）工詩畫古文。翁雒與錢杜等名家合作書畫甚眾，足見翁氏之藝術成就。
