Provenance: Nikolai Nikolaevich Aseev (presentation inscription).
PRESENTATION COPY signed and inscribed to the author's Constructivist colleague, N.N. Aseev, in purple ink on the title page and dated December 20, 1927. This is widely considered to be one of Mayakovsky's greatest poems. Rodchenko's cover for this tribute to the 10th Anniversary of the October Revolution is one of his most memorable arrangements of varying red and black type.
