The five-part horse shoe back supported by an elaborately carved back splat depicting two contesting dragons in a sea of cloud scrolls, the backrest mortised into the hard seat while the armrests are supported by reverse brackets joined to the back seat stretcher and extending to the front rail pin hinged with the back rail extending from the front seat stretcher ending in a foot rest and two block feet, the chair fitted with gilt metal etched hardware.
