Two hardstone snuff bottles
The first a modern black stone bottle of rounded rectangular form with a wide, concave mouth rim and an oval foot rim, the sides with later Japanese-embellishment of a peacock in a landscape reversed by a seal, executed in jade, hardstone, coral, emeralds and pearls, the base bearing a Jiaqing mark; the second a 1880-1940 small honey and black crystal bottle carved as a flattened cluster of leafy peaches with a black bat to one side.
