A boxwood figure of Guanyin
Qing dynasty
The graceful goddess seated with eyes downcast in tranquil contemplation, her hair tied in a top knot secured by a ruyi hairpin, dressed in a layered robe parted at the chest to expose a beaded pendant necklace, the left hand resting on the drawn up knee, the right hand holding a scroll, beside a bundle of three scrolls supported on an outcrop rising from the rockwork base.
14.8cm high.
