A soapstone figure of Guanyin
Mid Qing dynasty
The Bodhisattva exquisitely poised seated on pierced rockwork with both hands resting on her right bent knee underneath her flowing sleeves, her serene face framed with an elaborate coiffure covered by a long veil, her head inclined with eyes narrowed and lips gently smiling in a compassionate gaze, dressed in a voluminous robe falling in thick folds with textile design of stylised clouds and floral sprays opening at the chest
27.2cm high.
