A bronze figure of Guanyin
Late Ming dynasty
The bodhisattva depicted seated in lalitasana holding a newborn with both of her hands in front of her torso, dressed in long robes that fall in graceful folds around the body, opening at the chest to expose a necklace with inlaid emerald stones, beside a flask of heavenly dew on her right and a magpie on the left, both of which are supported on outcrops rising from the rockwork base, stand.
