A jadeite vase with scrolling handles
Jiaqing
Of archaistic form, the flattened vase rising from a hollowed splayed foot to a high shoulder, the neck waisted ending in a slightly flared mouth, flanked by a pair of scrolling vine handles, the body worked in low relief featuring a frieze of archaistic taotie motifs, the stone of an apple green tone with dark green and yellow inclusions.
