A jadeite peach-shaped box and cover
Qing dynasty
Worked in the form of a peach with rounded sides rising from a smooth flattened base, the cover worked in high relief with five stylised bats flittering beside three fruiting peaches issuing from gnarled, leafy mandel in openwork, the polished stone of even pale celadon tone with russet inclusions and russet colouring to the surface.
