Footnotes

  • The quality of the workmanship on the 'lychee' group is exceptional, reminiscent of that on a white jade 'qin' paperweight from the Water, Pine and Stone Retreat Collection, illustrated in Arts from the Scholar's Studio, University of Hong Kong, 1986, cat. no. 226, and sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 8 October 2010, lot 2196.
