A Longquan 'twin fish' brushwasher
Southern Song dynasty
Potted with slightly lobed sides in resemblance to upright lotus petals on the exterior, rising to a flat everted rim, the interior moulded with a pair of fish swimming in opposite directions, detailed with fin and raised scales within a circle, covered overall in a pale green glaze.
