H. Moser & Cie. is highly regarded as one of more exclusive Swiss independent manufactures that has created its own in-house movements since 1829. This current example houses a unique perpetual calendar complication which allows the date to be adjusted forwards and backwards without damaging the mechanism. This is done with a patented Double Pull Crown mechanism. The subtle arrow hand situated at the centre of the dial indicates the month using the twelve hour marker whilst the visible movement on the reverse discreetly reveals the leap year. The finely crafted movement features an interchangeable escapement module as well as a hardened solid gold escape wheel and pallet form. In 2010, the Perpetual 1 was awarded the prestigious German Golden Unruh (Golden Balance) award for its impressive technical innovation.
