1978 Benelli 125 Turismo
Registration no. JVV 43T
Frame no. B612524B
Engine no. MD12797
Revitalised after its take-over in 1971 by Argentine industrialist Alejandro de Tomaso, Benelli launched a plethora of new models in the 1970s, the 2C two-stroke twin and 125 Cross trail bike among them. Effectively half the 2C but with slightly longer stroke, the 125 Cross later spawned a 125 Turismo roadster version, which came with a front disc brake as standard. More expensive than the Japanese opposition, the attractively styled 125 Turismo was not a top-seller in the UK and today is quite rare.
Purchased from North Leicester Motorcycles in November 2006 and last taxed for the road to April 2008, this smartly turned out 125 Turismo is described as in generally good condition and offered with Swansea V5. A replacement stoplight switch is the only notified deviation from factory specification. No reserve.
