    This painting is sold with an accompanying Papunya Tula Artists documentation that reads in part: 'This painting depicts designs associated with the secret-scared Tingari ceremonies at the site of Nyuapurnga to the west of the Kintore community. In mythological times a large group of Tingari men made camp at this place during their travels to Kaakaratintja (Lake MacDonald).

    These Tingari Men travelled over vast areas of the desert regions instructing the post-initiatory youths in the higher education undergone by Aboriginal men of the region...'.
