  Beloved wife of distinguished obstetrician and gynaecologist Dr.Bob McInerney,
  Betty McInerney was a woman of immense style. For many years she was involved with the Black & White Committee, a charity organisation founded in 1936, which raises money for Royal Blind Society of New South Wales. The Black & White Committee has been an integral part of fashionable Sydney society, and the committee has been dominated by some of Sydney's most glamorous women. Icons of elegance, stylishly clad and impeccably groomed, their photographs appear in magazines and newspapers – at the races, at fashion parades, exhibitions, cocktails parties, and, of course, at the annual Black & White ball.
