An enamelled rectangular plaque of a beauty and a tiger
Republic period The beauty wearing blue flowing robes, holding flowers to herself, carrying a sword on her back, the tiger crouching, looking back at the beauty, titled "tiger and beauty" [虎色图], dated 1941 [民国三十年仲朔月], two artist's seal, fitted to a stool. 24.8cm x 38cm.
Provenance: Private collection NSW, purchased during late 1950s or early 1960s in Hong Kong.
Note: The plaque was fitted to the stool after the initial purchase.
