The rectangular hinged top with a central painted porcelain panel of a courting couple withing a cast acanthus leaf frame, enclosing a calf skin lined interior, flanked by birds feeding on demi-lune ends with twisted fluted decoration, the front with a scene of a lake and a cottage, raised on turned feet, 26cm wide, 15cm deep, 12cm high (10" wide, 5.5" deep, 4.5" high).
