A fine pair of giltwood eagle console tables originally from Kilkenny Castle in Ireland
Second quarter 18th century
Each with a verde antico veneered rectangular marble top, above a Vitruvian-scroll frieze, on an eagle with outspread wings standing on a rocky base, on ebonised rectangular plinth with stepped corners, areas of re-gilding, 115cm wide, 61cm deep, 83.5cm high (45" wide, 24" deep, 32.5" high).
