A French late 18th century Louis XVI eight day gilt bronze mounted white marble portico clock
The enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals inscribed Cortel à Paris, time and strive movement unmarked, housed within a drum suspended between fluted tapering columns surmounted with pineapple finials, the drum with an urn finial issuing flowers, all on an oval black marble plinth with disk feet, with a sunburst pendulum, 29cm wide, 9cm deep, 17cm high
