A Victorian Britannia standard silver caster
stamped with the maker's mark of D & J Wellby overstriking another, London 1896
In the early 18th century style, baluster form with applied girdle, the pierced high-dome cover with bayonet fixing and banded orb finial, on a spreading circular foot, height 21cm, together with a Victorian double-ended bohemian glass scent bottle, with unmarked mounts, etched red and clear glass body, the mounts embossed with foliate scrolls, length 12.5cm, another blue glass example, with unmarked mounts, the base opening to reveal a vinaigrette, the grill pierced with dots and engraved with foliate scrolls, length 9.5cm and one other gilt metal example, weight of caster 12oz.
