A matched George III silver three-piece tea service
the teapot by Duncan Urquhart & Naphtali Hart, London 1802, the jug and sugar dish, maker's marks rubbed, Dublin 1798 and 1813
Oval form, the teapot with domed hinge lid with wood and ivory finial, the body with bright engraved bands depicting flowers, acorns and scrolling foliate, with prick-dot engraved rims, the fluted lower body with vacant acorn wreath reserves, wooden handle, demi-fluted spout, the cream jug and sugar dish similarly decorated, the latter with gilt interior, raised on four shell feet; together with a George II cream jug, maker's mark rubbed, London 1757, baluster form, wavy rim, the body chased with flowers, leaf-capped scroll handle, raised on three trefoil feet, height 8.4cm, length of teapot 29cm, weight total 32oz.
