Prior to his pottery's move to Fulham, De Morgan obtained certain blank earthenware pieces from external factories such as tiles from Poole and Wedgwood. It is documented that one of his suppliers was J. H. Davis of Hanley who provided dishes, such can be seen here and the next lot in this auction.
