WITH: 2 Typed Letters Signed ("James Hilton" and "Jimmy") and 1 TLS signed secretarially, 3 pp, 4to, Los Angeles, October 24, 1939 to May 14, 1940, on various studio letterheads, to Lester Cowan of Universal Studios, regarding the synopsis and draft of And Now Goodbye,, light creasing.
HILTON'S ADAPTATION OF HIS 1931 NOVEL. From the files of producer Lester Cowan, together with correspondence indicating that Hilton showed a copy to Laurence Olivier to positive results, and that he has arranged a meeting with Mrs. Hitchcock (Alfred being to busy) to give her a copy of his script. And Now Goodbye did not make it to the screen, however.
