A mounted Shinto katana

The blade of hira-zukuri form, of shallow curvature, irregular gunome-ha of nie and nioi, the hada of mokume, the ubu nakago with distinct sujikai-yasuri and one mekugi-ana, signed Fujiwara Nobuyoshi; koshirae: the black lacquer saya with five ribbed bands, the sukasi tsuba pierced with snow-covered bamboo; the iron fuchi-gashira with geese in relief and the menuki in the form of kiri-mon; with brocade bag.
