A Shibayama-style inlaid silver and ivory vase and cover

The ivory body richly inlaid in various materials with two quail, a pheasant and small birds among chrysanthemums, peonies and a flowering cherry tree, the shoulders and foot of silver inlaid with formal scrolling foliage in coloured enamels and the shoulders mounted with dragon handles, the cover bears similar enamel designs and is surmounted by a finial in the form of an alighting hawk, signed for the inlay Nagaoki and for the metalwork Tsunemasa.
