Three small ivory okimono
Meiji Period
The first of a man seated on a rush-mat holding up a kiseruzutsu and tabako-ire with both hands, signed in a tsuishu-lacquer reserve Masayuki, 5.2cm (2 1/8in) high; the second of two young boys playing on a large basket, with a man seated cross-legged holding the basket steady and pointing at the boy holding out a mask to scare the other, signed Shogetsu, 13.2cm (5 3/16in) long; the third of a man seated on a tree stump proffering a basket of vegetables, signed Somin, 4.9cm (1 15/16in) high.
