Comprising three tsuba, the first of iron, of Katchushi type, pierced with a cross, unsigned, 8.5cm (3 3/8in); the second of iron, carved with a dancing Portuguese gentleman, unsigned, 8.5cm (3 3/8in); the third of sentoku, of mokko form with raised rim, pierced with a cross, unsigned, 3.2cm (3¼in); six shiiremono kozuka, four cast with designs of Portuguese and Dutch settlers, two holding banners aloft, details of silver, copper and gilt-metal; one with an arrow with imitation Western writing; and one cast with Dutch ships anchored in a bay; an iron fuchi-gashira with dragons in relief, signed Hirado ju Kunishige; another of shakudo cast and inlaid in iroe takazogan with a mahout on an elephant; all kozuka unsigned; two pairs of iroe menuki, each in the form of foreign figures, unsigned; an iron saya kanamono with European leather design in nunome, unsigned; and a copper pendant with a hidden cross within, unsigned; with ten wood storage boxes.
