A rare ivory four-case inro
By Jisai, 18th century
Carved in relief to one side with Kioyu washing his ear in a waterfall and Sofu, the divine herdsman, leading his ox to a river, the reverse with a mounted hunter chasing a wild boar amid stands of bamboo, the top and base carved with dragons and the interior lacquered in nashiji, signed in a circular cartouche Dai Nihon Jisai.
