A grey lacquer three-case inro
By Kanshosai, 19th century
Of wide form, bearing a shibuichi-nuri ground, engraved with two oharame (female peddlers from Ohara selling brushwood) carrying bundles on their heads, the reverse with a heavily laden ox, its halter trailing on the ground, the interior of nashiji, signed Kanshosai with kao.
8.2cm (3¼in), wide.
