Bearing a bright vermilion ground and lacquered with a black Himalayan bear seated beside a rock, the reverse with butterflies hovering over a waterfall, in gold and coloured takamakie with details of kirikane and the interior of nashiji, signed Shigeyoshi saku with kao. 7.6cm (3in).
