In the form of a Chinese ink-cake, lacquered and inlaid with a flaming drum and a four-character inscription in gold and slight-coloured takamakie, enamelled pottery and aogai, the reverse with a two-character inscription within a border of musical instruments and formal motifs, the interior of black lacquer, signed with seal Kan.
