By Nagata Yuji, Rimpa style, early 18th century
Decorated in gold and red takamakie and gold hiramakie with a continuous design of a boatman poling a boat, laden with three bundles of tied brushwood, the boat hull of inlaid pewter, the interior of nashiji, signed Nagata Yuji.
