An embroidered four leaf screen
Late Qing Dynasty
Each leaf set vertically with a central panel between two shaped panels enclosing embroidered scenes, the central panels variously decorated with sampans and a steam boat on a river in a mountainous landscape dotted with walled compounds, pagodas amidst pine and wutong trees, the smaller panels with butterflies and birds amidst flora, the reverse plain, glazed. Each panel 190cm (74¾in) high x 46cm (18in) wide (4).
