A bronze oil lamp and bell
South India, 15th centuy and Java, 12th century
The lamp of shallow circular form with a small pointed spout and and projecting stylized monkey grip. The bell of dome form with slightly faceted sides with the ridges overlaid with braided bands issued from a collar of scrolling motifs around the suspension loop.
