The 1lb beamscale assembly lacking from the box, the 7lb beamscale numbered 283 and with mahogany fixing board, brass pillar, beam marked with maker's name, gallows, and flat pans with rods, the earliest verification mark for 1899, the 56lb beamscale with the same components and numbered 282, by De Grave & Co, London, the beam marked 'Patent No. 14097', the earliest verification mark for 1894, lacking tripod or stand, all in a black-stained box with brass plaque for 'City of Carlisle, W & T. Avery Ld, London', (16 including boxes and trays)
