Comprised of nine decorated with guilloche enamel, including several German examples and three with hard stone tops; two Norwegian thimbles, both with hard stone tops, decorated with blue enamel over white enamel dots, one by Marius Hammer and the other by David Anderson; a Russian silver thimble; seven German silver thimbles with applied scrollwork and set with coloured cabochon stones; a Marsh Arab niello work thimble and one other; two set with hard stones in floral designs; eleven Portuguese thimbles, some with coloured decoration; eighteen cloisonné thimbles, including four tall examples from Singapore; two Siamese thimbles; three decorated with abalone shell; a Polish thimble applied with amber and others.
