Two Grateful Dead speakers with original Courtenay Pollock tie-dye art, "The Cubes," fully restored using original parts from hard trucker speaker cubes
Wood showing wear, tie-dye on cotton panels, panels showing light wear.
This is a fully restored set of Hard Trucker mini cube speakers with original Courtenay Pollock tie dye speaker covers. This fully functional set of Hard Trucker mini speaker cubes was restored using all original parts: a pair of original "Wall of Sound" JBL 4.5" Full Range drivers, ca. 1972, as seen in the line arrays and center cluster of the "Wall of Sound" into which they were installed; a pair of original Hard Trucker Finish Birch cabinets with original Wall of Sound cables and jacks, also ca. 1972; and covered with original VINTAGE New Old Stock (made in 1972, but unused until now) Courtenay Pollock tie dye speaker covers. Assembly of all the original parts was done by Hard Trucker legacy Rudson Shurtliff. Mini speaker cubes like this were made for and used by many members of the Grateful Dead Family, as well as in the Grateful Dead studio. Similar examples can be seen throughout many of the books on the Band.
