Property of a deceased's estate 1996 Mercedes-Benz E320 'Sportline' Cabriolet Registration no. N279 CHC Chassis no. WDB1240662C281136 Engine no. 10499222100561
Produced between 1993 and 1997, the E320 Coupé/Cabriolet was built in limited numbers in the traditional manner of classic Mercedes-Benz models, being one of the very best specified and most luxuriously equipped in the range. The E320 was basically an upgraded and mildly restyled 300E, the change in designation reflecting an increase in the 16-valve engine's capacity from 3.0 to 3.2-litres.
A five-speed, automatic transmission model equipped with the optional 'Sportline' package of chassis, suspension and other improvements, this E320 cabriolet was purchased by the vendor's deceased husband in 2008 (receipt on file). At that time the car had covered around 64,000 miles and, at the time of consignment to the Harrogate sale, this total had only increased to around 69,000 miles, its use having been restricted to high days and holidays only. 'N279 CNC' has been MoT'd and used each year since purchase, and has been regularly serviced (see history file). Finished in Tourmaline Green metallic with mushroom leather upholstery, the car is described as in generally very good condition and offered with fresh MoT/tax, Swansea V5C document and a comprehensive history file containing invoices, owner's manual, sales brochure and eight old MoT certificates spanning the period from 2001 to date.
