c.1959 Triumph 349cc Twenty One (3TA)
Registration no. PCT 26
Frame no. (see text)
Engine no. H10010
Purchased by the current vendor in 1992, this machine had been mechanically refreshed by the previous owner who fitted a replacement cylinder barrel and new pistons. The present owner subsequently restored the machine cosmetically over a period from 1994 to 1996, having the wheels rebuilt with new British chromed rims and spokes, and fitting a new exhaust system, wiring harness and seat. The frame and all cycle parts were stripped and repainted. Since the restoration's completion, the machine has not been used on the road although it has been started occasionally during the intervening years. The vendor describes the machine's condition as 'good' in every respect and also states that the tin-ware is original.
The machine comes with a Haynes manual, an old parts list and a selection of photographs taken at the time of purchase by the present owner. Accompanying documentation consists of two old MoT certificates (most recent expired May 1991) and current Swansea V5C. Not used on the road since restoration, 'PCT 26' will require a certain amount of re-commissioning and the usual safety checks before returning to the road. It should be noted that the frame number has been re-stamped.
