1978 Honda CB200
Registration no. BNW 246S
Frame no. CB200-1060463
Engine no. CB200E-1062299
Introduced in 1973, the Honda CB200 sports roadster superseded the old CB175 and came with a tubular spine frame, twin carburettors, a five-speed gearbox and either a drum or disc front brake. Back in 1974 Bike magazine found theirs a little slower than both the Yamaha RD200 and Suzuki GT185, though considerably more economical. 'It might not be the fastest thing around,' remarked Britain's No.1 motorcycle magazine, 'but somehow it looks and feels more like a real motorcycle than its two-stroke counterparts. It's a little bike with a big heart.' This example was acquired by its late owner in April 1999 and last taxed for the road to 30th September 2004. Currently displaying a total of 9,690 miles on the odometer, 'BNW 246S' has been kept in storage for the last eight years and will require re-commissioning before returning to the road. The machine is offered with SORN paperwork, old/current Swansea V5/V5C documents and a quantity of old tax discs/MoT certificates (most recent expired 2005). No reserve.
