Two pocket watches, formerly the property of S.F. Edge,
each with enamel dial and Roman numerals, comprising one by Mappin and Webb, 220 Regent St, London, nickelled case and with subsidiary seconds dial, the inside case stamped 66903, faintly inscribed "60Hr - L. Walker Munro - Rhinefield - Brockenhurst", the other with Swiss 15-jewel movement and contained within steel case.

  • These watches were inherited by Edge's daughter, the Late Jean Hassid (nee Edge) and are now offered for sale from her estate.

    It is believed that the first watch was gifted to Edge by a friend, a Mr Edward Lionel Walker-Munro, whose wife was responsible for compiling his many press cutting and photographic scrapbooks.
