Footnotes

  • Introduced at a time when quartz movements were viewed as a more accurate companion to high end mechanical pieces and not the near death blow that they became, the Chronosplit represented the first digital, fully electronic watch in the world to also include a chronograph, when it arrived in 1975. Initially offered with one LCD and LED display, the example offered here is the later technical development introduced in 1976 with dual LCD displays. In brushed gold plated finish with matching bracelet, it is very rare to find a Chronosplit with box and papers, especially one in working order.
