A Model 'T' Bucket soap-box racer,
modern, created by Peter Vivian of Creative Woodwork under the banner of 'Superior Soapboxes', a recreation of a late 1920's Model 'T' 'Tin Lizzy' designed to emulate an 1950s-60s hot-rod, with Flathead 'engine' modelled with Scott supercharger and pair of Stromberg 97's. All the hard-woods used in the manufacture are from reclaimed sources, the cylinder heads are African Walnut, the blower is Ash, as are the Dynamo, windscreen surround, 'Beehive' oil filter and fanbelts. The carburettors are a combination of Ash and Beech on Walnut inlet manifolds, the air filters are turned from Sheoak. All mounted on a salvaged Mahogany frame for the bodywork. The bench seat is upholstered in the traditional 'tuck & roll' style and the steering wheel is made from solid Walnut. The solid beam front axle is suspended by coil over 'shocks' and 2 bar trailing arms. Whilst not an exact scale model the cart is half the length of the full sized car, at 168cm long x 83cm wide overall. The wheels are 40 spoke 20 inch BMX style with 1.25 inch tyres on the front and 2 inch at the rear, steering is by crown and pinion.
